A short English summary...

We are a small, private Equestrian center in the Lueneburg Heath, about 12 miles Southeast of Soltau. The center is located in Reiningen, a part of the village Wietzendorf, in the midst of meadows and forests.

Besides the many varieties of riding lessons, we offer places for guest horses (meaning we take care of your horse). You can come here for your holidays and live in our small but comfortably furnished cottage, your dog and horse are welcome too of course.
New things going on are long weekend riding holidays for kids over 7 years old and a special highlight is our annual Gala Day in spring.
The Equestrian center is truely international, with German, French and British regular visitors. If you are thinking about a visit, don't let language be a barrier.

The owner of "Reiterhof Winandy" is Petra Winandy, originally from near the Rhine. Petra came here as a child in the early 80's together with her parents. The family managed an Equestrian center and a well known Cocker Spaniel kennel. After the sudden death of Petras Mother in 1981, her Father could hardly cope with the loss of his wife. The Equestrian center and dog kennels then closed. Even after the loss Petra still managed to keep some horses for private use.

At the moment we have 13 horses at stable, from the 13, 8 are riding horses, one is a Welsh-Mountain-Partbred, 3 are Riding Ponies and one is a Haflinger . If you are interested in pictures of our horses, click

It has always remained Petras heart to fullfill her Mothers dream and rebuilt the Equestrian center to what it was in 1981. Throughout the last few years the center has developed to its former self. 13 horses grace the pastures and live in the stable. More and more people are getting to hear about Reiterhof Winandy and the good things that happen here. Now up to 30 people take part in the riding activities, the youngest 3, the oldest 51.

Of course there are also other animals, black Lab-Mix Shadow and Golden Retriever Amor belong to Petra as well as 2 "stablecats", 2 goats, 3 sheep, some guinea pigs and rabbits for the little ones.
